Bible Memory Verse Club 3.22.11

Bible Memory Verse Club is an email chain that goes out every week amongst members of Pilgrim Church. Every week, one member picks a verse to share and sends out an email. If you are interested in being part of this chain, contact Hannah Baek at hannahbaek@gmail.com.

Isaiah 40:30 - 31
"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."

I don't know about you guys, but after the retreat, I was so physically tired. Mentally and spiritually I was energized by Tim Haahs and his incredible testimony, but my physical limitations made me discouraged and I was sad at myself for not entering work on Monday with the renewed determination to bring all the learned lessons into the workplace and my life.

But more than that, I realized that we need Godly strength to really do His work. I don't know what is going on in all of your lives, but some of us are tired/weary/stumbling/fallen right now. Imagine soaring through the sky with the wind rushing against your face, running as fast as you can and not being tired, walking for miles on end and remaining upbeat. This is the freedom, peace, strength and hope that our God provides regardless of ANY circumstance.

Please join me in holding on to this hope. Pastor Pat always says, hope is not like a wish where you don't know the outcome. Hope in God is definite and assured. We have full assurance of all of His promises to us.
